Bosco Society

Fidelis works together with our brother organization, Fraternus, to establish a support society for both the local chapter and the national missions of these apostolates.

The Bosco Society is made to:

(1) support the operations of a local Fidelis and/or Fraternus Chapter, (2) supply scholarships for Inspire and/or Ranch, and

(3) help Fidelis and/or Fraternus to grow to new areas.

These goals are the standard and guiding principles of the Bosco Society.

How does it work?

Bosco Fundraising Events

Fidelis & Fraternus support staff works with chapters to plan a Bosco Fundraising Event offering assistance through the entire process of program creation, promotion, MC selection, and executing the event.

Calendar checklists, invitation templates, and pledge cards are provided to help plan a successful event.

With the thorough guidance of a Fidelis/Fraternus Bosco Representative, a local host committee will plan and execute an event that speaks to the impact of the Fidelis/Fraternus programs, offers testimonies, and seeks membership in the society, attained by a monthly monetary pledge of any amount.

Donor Relations and Management

Fidelis and Fraternus are happy to offer the donation processing and donor management of the Bosco Society knowing the power of connecting people locally to these apostolates.

We ensure that all accounting and donor communications are professional, accurate, and in accord with the various laws surrounding non-profit fundraising.

Fidelis/Fraternus National provide Tax Summaries, Thank you notes, and ongoing communication to update the donors on the impact of their gifts.

These services streamline donation collection for parishes while offering cost savings on donation processing fees.

Scalable Discount Based on Parish Need

Every Parish differs in the amount of resources available to them for the support of a Fidelis Chapter. Through a Bosco Event a parish can choose to utilize funds raised to subsidize the cost of the Fidelis Annual Subscription.

A parish may choose 3 options:

1. If there is a serious need, please contact us for a Scholarship Option!

2. Pay $1000 toward the yearly Annual Subscription while donating 20% of any Bosco Funds raised through a Bosco Event to the Fidelis Mission.

3. Pay the full price of the yearly subscription . A Bosco Event would not be necessary for this option.

Supports in Three Ways

The Bosco Funds that are raised at an event support:

1. The parish - by reducing the Annual Subscription.

2. The local Chapter - by raising funds to be used on any Fidelis related expenses (Inspire Scholarships, Membership Scholarships, Insignia purchases, travel expenses to Inspire, meals for Fidelis Nights, Retreat expenses, etc.)

3. The advancement and sustainment of the Fidelis Mission -through partnership with the donors at each local parish.

Without the support of donors, the Fidelis Program could not exist.

Fidelis is a non profit 501(c)(3) that seeks to impact the world through the formation of strong and virtuous women and young ladies.

We strive to keep our costs as low as possible while still providing quality resources for women to bring to their communities.

Bosco Events and the resulting Bosco Society of donors has proven to be the best and most powerful way to ensure community awareness, support, and partnership of the Fidelis Program in a parish. The Bosco Society enables a chapter to provide scholarships to the young women in a parish who might not otherwise be able to attend Inspire, local retreats, or even weekly Fidelis Nights.

When a parish opts to utilize the Bosco Society, they not only save valuable parish time and resources but they are able have a larger impact that goes beyond their parish by providing vital support of the overall Fidelis Mission including program content, mentor formation, and program growth.

The Impact of the Bosco Society

We were excited to help start a Bosco Society for our chapter, a model for fundraising that allows friends and families to donate funds to support sending Fraternus brothers and Fidelis sisters on this life-changing, summer experience. We volunteered to organize the first such event and contributed matching donations to get things started. With God’s grace, our chapter has never denied anyone the opportunity to experience Ranch or Inspire.
